Head Basketball Coach

Coach William Gordon enters into his 2nd year at Northeast High School as a educator and coach.  A native of Rockford, Illinois, Coach Gordon has had coaching stops at the middle school, High School, and Junior College levels. Coach Gordon also brings AAU experience having coached a program that produced multiple scholarship athletes. Coach Gordon has been a head varsity coach for thirteen years. Prior to coaching on the Eastside, Coach Gordon served as Head Boys’ Basketball Coach for the past seven years and doubled as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach for the past two years at Hampton High School. Coach Gordon also won Region Athletic Director of the Year in his tenure at Hampton while serving as Athletic Director from 2018-2020.   
 An avid reader, Coach Gordon received his AA in Communications from Rock Valley College, B.S. in Physical Education from Rockford University, and his MSEd in Equity and Equality in Education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Coach Gordon will be assisting Coach Tangee Hardnett in the administration of Northeast High Athletics.
